Technical Support Engineer - Columbia, MD

Tecore Networks provides a full suite of GSM, CDMA, and 3G products for wireless communications solutions. We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer.

Use your technical knowledge and customer interaction skills to provide technical support to customers who use our wireless switching and base station products. TECORE provides 24 x 7 technical support for our full suite of GSM, CDMA, and 3G products for full scope wireless networking applications. You will be part of a global services customer response team that is involved in all phases of support from the installation and upgrade process through critical issue resolution. Our customer support engineers work closely with system test and development engineering to collaborate on product enhancements.

We encourage technical service representatives from mid-level to senior level ability to apply. We are seeking individuals with a minimum of three to five years prior Telecom (wireless and / or wireline) support experience. Experience must include a minimum of two years prior experience with IP based routers and switches such as Cisco is required. CCENT certification is required. In-depth knowledge of LINUX is required; Red Hat Certification is highly desirable. You must be confident in your technical abilities and customer communication skills as you will be providing Tier 2 support to customers around the globe. You must have strong verbal communication skills, excellent diplomacy skills, strong analytical skills and the ability to articulate technical material to both technical and non-technical individuals in remote locations.
