iCore Authentication / Authorization / Accounting Center

As part of the iCore HLR / HSS, Tecore offers:

• GSM and CDMA Authentication Center (AuC and AC) -- this element functions as the gatekeeper for the network by verifying and validating the identity of the handset and provides operators with the assurance and peace-of-mind that subscriber usage and data is being securely managed. The AuC / AC provides the authentication vectors needed by the authentication and ciphering processes used within the network. The authentication data validates the access of subscribers to the network and protects confidentiality on the radio channels. The AuC/AC includes the authentication functionalities for both GSM and CDMA networks


• Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) Server -- this element rounds out the functionality required to address subscriber requests for network resources. The AAA server typically interacts with network access and gateway servers and with HLR / HSS databases and directories containing subscriber information
