Former Wireless Chief Technical Officer at Alcatel-Lucent Brings Over 20 Years of Telecommunications Experience to Tecore

Leveraging his career background in the United States telecommunications industry, Mr. Sears will lead the sales of Tecore’s next generation of Wireless Networks in North America and its Intelligent Network Access Controller (iNAC)™ Managed Access solution portfolio globally.

Prior to joining Tecore, Mr. Sears served as Alcatel-Lucent’s Wireless Chief Technical Officer for U.S. major accounts. In their wireless division, Mr. Sears supported Tier 2-5 customers with end-to-end solutions across multiple technologies; LTE, small-cells, WiMAX, CDMA, UMTS, and GSM. “I have always been very impressed with Tecore; my passion in wireless made me admire its product and vision,” said Howard Sears, Vice President of Sales. “Over the years I have watched Tecore and witnessed firsthand its innovations in the market space. That is what brought me here and I am excited to grow with the company.”

Throughout Mr. Sears’ tenure in the telecommunications industry he has had the privilege to serve on the Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) Events and Associated Members Committees. “We are excited to have Howard on board. His twenty years of extensive experience in the North American market will strengthen Tecore’s market leadership in scalable wireless solutions for operators throughout the U.S. and support our continued mission of leveling the playing field for rural communities,” said Jay Salkini, President and CEO of Tecore Networks.

As wireless technology accelerates forward, rural operators are challenged to evolve their current network infrastructures to next generation 3G and 4G LTE technology. Additionally, operators who initially moved to 4G LTE through hosting are looking for alternatives to deploy their own core infrastructure and regain control of their subscriber base as Voice-Over-LTE becomes a reality. Tecore stands ready with a full portfolio of next generation capability including industry-leading scalability as well as key features such as integrated IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) support.
